87 not out - and counting....

Tuesday 1st December 2009 - an incredible 87 league games ago - was the last time Boro scored first in a league match and lost. A cold night in Ebbsfleet saw Yemi Odubade put Stevenage ahead (and temporarily top of the table too) in the 21st minute only for Stefan Bailey to score twice in six second-half minutes to seal all three points for the hosts.

Since then the 87 league fixtures have passed without Boro losing a game in which they've taken the lead. Of these 45 have been wins, 22 draws and 20 defeats:

Boro have won 45 of the 87 league games during this run

Can Boro make it to 100 games? Providing this run continues and there are no postponements, Graham Westley's men can make it a century when Oldham are the visitors to The Lamex Stadium at the end of January. It's a tough ask but with this Stevenage side you can never say never.....
